Now in its 10th year, the Oklahoma Supercomputing Symposium is the only annual event of its kind in the Great Plains region.

Attendance in 2010 was 267:

  • 108 (36%) from OU, 159 (60%) non-OU (or unstated)
  • 191 (72%) academic, 76 (28%) non-academic (or unstated)
    • 34 academic institutions in 7 states
    • 29 commercial firms
    • 10 government agencies (federal and state)
    • 5 non-governmental organizations
  • 177 (66%) Oklahoman, 90 (34%) non-Oklahoman (or unstated)
  • 200 (75%) from EPSCoR jurisdictions, 67 (25%) not from EPSCoR jurisdictions (or unstated)

The 9 Symposia to date have had aggregate attendance over 2000, from:

  • 92 academic institutions from 25 US states and territories
    including
    59 academic institutions from 13 EPSCoR jurisdictions
  • 97 private companies
  • 31 government agencies (federal, state, municipal, foreign)
  • 14 non-governmental organizations
